After a hectic summer of constant travel and an average of 14 hour work days, I am thrilled to share some of the magic behind the 5-city More Than A Game tour. I was brought on by my dear and respected colleagues at UMCA Sports to produce the Nike sponsored tour in anticipation of the Lions Gate documentary More Than A Game based on the high-school basketball career of NBA phenom LeBron James and to tease the release of the new LeBron VII shoe.
This grassroots basketball movement impacted over 28,000 consumers in Chicago, DC, Akron, New York and LA, bringing a free outdoor basketball event to communites around the country for kids that would otherwise not have access to such programs. LeBron made himself openly availble to interact with young people, show-off his basketball gifts and reinforce his commitment to urban communites throughout the U.S.
And for those that still think I am only a wedding designer…think again!
